Secure and guaranteed connectivity for governmental users
Thanks to the EU GOVSATCOM initiative, launched by the European Commission as part of the EU Space Programme, the EU and national public authorities managing security-related missions and critical infrastructures will be able to access reliable, secure and cost-effective governmental satellite communication services.
WHAT IS GOVSATCOM FOR?

Crisis management, e.g., emergency response following natural and man-made disasters, humanitarian crises, maritime emergency, law enforcement interventions, EU External Action missions, etc.

Surveillance, such as border and maritime surveillance or surveillance of illegal trafficking.

Key infrastructures, e.g., institutional communications, transport, energy grids, space infrastructures, , financial infrastructures, ICT infrastructure, telecommunication infrastructure, etc..

Specific use cases for civil & military users, e.g., connectivity in polar regions, Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and the he Internet of Things (IoT) applications.
